How Besage began
Besage was founded by two people who reached the same conclusion from opposite directions.
Elizabeth Gozzer spent more than twenty years in international development, designing economic programs across Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East to support youth employment, workforce development, and women's economic inclusion. Again and again, she watched programs focus more on hard technical skills than on the soft skills that could have helped people become someone others will follow.
Stefano Calvetti spent 31 years in the Italian Navy without anyone ever teaching him how to lead, learned to lead at night from his own mistakes, and became an executive coach after his service.
She knew the millions that development programs never quite reach. He knew what coaching does, and how few people get it. Besage exists to close that gap.
